What is Nikon Next Blog tool?

Nikon Next Blog tool is an official web application to distribute images of world’s leading photographers through Nikon Next, the special website which is aiming “Next image technology of Nikon = project to discover the future”.
It offers not only blog tools but also a Facebook application in order to correspond with two types of platforms (environments).
It is available free of charge.

Nikon Next blog tool (the “Application”) is the service (the “Service”) offered to any users (the “User” or “You”) who agree to the Terms of Service (the “TOS”) of the Application.
The TOS between the User and Nikon Corporation (“Nikon” or “We”) is applied to the usage of the Application downloaded from Nikon Next. By installing and using the Application, you agree to the TOS.

■License Agreement of the Application
Nikon grants you a nontransferable and nonexclusive license rights to use the Application in accordance to the TOS. However, the TOS shall not license an upgraded version of the Application developed in the future.
Nikon shall not grant any rights owned by Nikon to you except the terms set forth in the TOS. In addition, except the terms in the TOS, Nikon does not have any declaration of intention, guarantee or motive to conclude any kind of contract to the User.

■Precautionary Statement for the Application
Depending on your Personal Computer (“PC”) environment, all or part of the Application may not be available.
The Application includes a function to update the information on the Internet automatically. In the case where the Application is downloaded to a corporate PC and there is a guideline set by a system administrator for application downloading, the User shall follow the relative guideline. Also, in the case where the application is introduced to a PC connected to a corporate LAN environment and there is a guideline set by a LAN administrator, the User shall follow the relative guideline.
If the Application is operated in a PC with a dial-up connection, a PC might make a dial-up connection automatically when the Application is modified by Nikon (described later) or a link file launches.
Nikon collects the log data for some functions of the Application for the purpose of reference for function improvement and the User trend survey. The log data contains no personal information.

■Prohibited Activities
Without a written agreement, Nikon does not authorize the User to make any use of the Application for any commercial purposes (including cases the Application is combined with other paid applications) outside the range of use and usage defined by the TOPS.
The User agree not to reproduce any portion of the Application to rent, sell, trade, resell or exploit for any commercial purposes regardless of whether or not compensation is received. Also the User shall agree not to violate any copyright, trademark, patent, design right, know-how or other proprietary rights of Nikon and any party.
The User may not disassemble, decompile, reverse-engineer, alter, modify or convert the Application.

■Copyrights and other property rights
Nikon holds any copyright, trademark, patent, design right, know-how and other proprietary rights related to the data of a help function or manual, contents and system of the Application.

■Disclaimers
Nikon makes no warranty that the Application has no defects. Also, on no event will Nikon be liable for any damages or troubles occurred to the User for the following cases (include, but not be limited to, loss and destruction of the User’s data) from whatever cause.
1. The Application is not available due to the User’s computer environment.
2. The User disassembled, decompiled, reverse-engineer, altered, modified or converted the Application.
3. Nikon modified the Application. (Described later).
4. Nikon terminated use of the Application (Described later).
Nikon shall not be responsible or liable for any trouble with respect to the use of the Application, to the User’s PC, OS, browser, any sort of application or peripheral devices, or the User’s loss of data.
Nikon shall not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of information or contents on the website run by Nikon. The User shall be liable to a risk of loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of or based on the contents above.
Nikon cannot provide any guarantee expressly or impliedly as to the accuracy, integrity, nowness or quality of the contents posted on the Application. Nikon shall not be responsible for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of downloading the contents in the Application or failing to use the application.
Nikon shall not be responsible for losses or troubles of any kind incurred as a result of overwriting a system file, or communication between introduced users.
Nikon shall not be responsible for any loss of the User incurred as a result of using information from the third party’s websites linked with the Application or our website.

■Modifications to the Application
The Application contents of our website may be updated automatically from time to time without notice.
The design of the Application, position, color balance, characters and fonts, program data and related document files names may be updated automatically.

■Termination
When Nikon deems it necessary, we may terminate use of all or part of the functions in the Application without prior notice.
When the User violates the TOS, without prior notice, Nikon shall be ale to request you to terminate a use of the Application.

■Indemnity
If Nikon suffer a loss due to the User’s violation of the TOS, the User may indemnify Nikon against all or part of the loss.

■Compliance with Laws
When using the Application, the User will comply with all applicable laws including government ordinances, ministerial ordinances, regulations and rules.

■Modifications to the TOS
When Nikon deems it necessary, Nikon shall be able to modify the TOS without prior approval of the User.

■Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Use of the Application and the TOS, including interpretation and application of the TOS shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Japan. Regarding any claim concerning the Service that might arise between Nikon and the User, the exclusive agreement jurisdictional court is Tokyo district court.

On your blog, you can select a Photo Location Point on the world map of the application, then it will start floating (displaying enlarged and expanded image) and you can view a various photos in the selected area.

* Depends on a blog service, how to embed a blog tool is different. Also please note that the blog tool　doesn’t operate properly in some blog services.
